Front side:
Windows and doors appear on the front side. These symbolize the European spirit of openness and cooperation. The banknote shows the architectural style from the classical period of European history, but does not depict any actual existing monument or bridge.
Back side:
The bridges on the reverse of the Europa banknotes symbolize the communication between the people of Europe and between Europe and the rest of the world. Also included on the reverse is a map of Europe surrounded by the 12 stars of the European flag.
